  16.               1. RULERSHIPS

  18.               Rulerships have been added to the Analysis section
  19.               of the on-screen view and the report. The Sun-Sign
  20.               Ruler, the Chart Ruler (ruling planet of ascending
  21.               sign, and the traditional sign rulers.

  24.               2. TRANSIT CHARTS CAN BE SAVED

  26.               Transit chartwheels can be saved as PCX or GIF
  27.               images. Many options for image modification.

  30.               3. JUMP TO RECENT CHARTS  (with new Hotkey "J")
  31.               
  32.               Natal charts that are loaded from different files
  33.               (N1, N2, N3...)  are stored in a special file for
  34.               quick and easy recall.  The last 20 charts loaded
  35.               can be viewed in the file called Recent Files. It
  36.               is displayed by selecting Recent Files in the Sub
  37.               Menu or simply by pressing the Hot Key "j" on the
  38.               keyboard (short for "jump" to recent files).  Any
  39.               of the last 20 charts in this file  can be viewed
  40.               on the screen  just as with  Get Chart.  Once the
  41.               Recent Charts file has been selected  it stays as
  42.               the current default  Get Chart file.  Selecting a
  43.               a new File with Load FIle will cancel the default.

  56.               1. SHIFTED CHART WHEEL GLYPHS

  58.               On rare occasions, the chart wheel glyphs were
  59.               shifted by one planet forwards or backwards in the
  60.               longitude sequence. This was evident when the
  61.               Current Positions were displayed for March 7-9,
  62.               1998. This bug is fixed.

  64.               2. TRANSIT CHART WHEELS CRASH
  65.               
  66.               The program crashed when the Transits chart wheel
  67.               was saved with "Save Chart." This bug is fixed.

  101.               Astroscan  was intended  to fill  the void  in the
  102.               astrological shareware market.  If astrology is to
  103.               grow  and evolve  into an advanced  and  effective
  104.               art of  behavioral analysis  and  prognostication, 
  105.               then the  best software  must be accessible at the
  106.               lowest price. (V1.X series is freeware.)

  108.               While some of the more flashy programs  try to fit
  109.               in  everything  but the  kitchen sink,   Astroscan
  110.               offers realistic and effective factors.

  112.               Accurate calculations  are not compromised, though
  113.               not overdone.  Some programs  can calculate charts
  114.               to the second of a minute.  But how useful is this
  115.               when most  hospital births are rounded off  to the
  116.               quarter of an a hour, let alone problems with DST.

  118.               Astroscan is easy to use,  yet extremely versatile
  119.               and powerful.  No other  shareware program  has so
  120.               many conventional  analysis techniques  as well as
  121.               effective new ones.

  124.               of any  astrological program.  A unique, miniature
  125.               5-button menu  allows more space  to be  allocated
  126.               to  chart data lists  on the screen,  yet performs
  127.               all the essential duties for diverse analysis that
  128.               a full menu does.  And for the most demanding user
  129.               there are many Hot Keys which deliver results with
  130.               lightening speed.

  207.                       ASTROSCAN 1.5 STILL IN BETA STAGE

  210.               This is the latest  beta version of Astroscan.  As
  211.               with all first releases of software, some parts of
  212.               the program may not function as intended  nor meet
  213.               the expectations of all users.  Such releases  are
  214.               always regarded  by the authors and users  as beta
  215.               programs  (trial testing versions).   With updates
  216.               and user feedback,  program bugs are eliminated,
  217.               and changes are made to improve performance.

  219.               Much remains to be improved in the current version
  220.               of Astroscan. Besides technical improvements, more
  221.               astrological tools will be added in future updates.
